Ideella föreningen Forum for Elderly Care

The Forum For Elderly Care is a non-profit association focused on improving care and circumstances for older people and people living with dementia. We do this by highlighting the key challenges within rapidly ageing communities with partners in efforts to raise awareness and impact change for our society’s vulnerable older populations.

Our Projects

The Forum For Elderly Care is proud to initiate and lead projects with a global focus that aims to both improve the position of nurses and create a dialogue between important partners to meet the global challenges that dementia diseases bring for both communities and individuals. Below you can read more about our projects - the Queen Silvia Nursing Award and Dementia Forum X.

The Queen Silvia Nursing Award is an annual competition for nurses and nursing students to contribute ideas and innovations to improve the quality of older person- and dementia care.

The Queen Silvia Nursing Award is under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden.

Dementia Forum X paves the way for high-level dialogue about the challenges that age-related demographic change and dementia pose for communities, individuals and healthcare systems with the aim of addressing them more effectively. The summit is held in Stockholm and attracts stakeholders within policy, care, research, society and business to commit to a more dementia-ready future.

Dementia Forum X is also under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden.
